HOUSTON – An investigation is underway after an elderly man was killed in an auto-pedestrian crash on Monday evening.
Officials said the crash occurred in the 6600 block of Synott around 6 p.m.

Authorities said they arrived on the scene and found an approximately 90-year-old man dead on the scene, who was said to be walking in the roadway.
Police said a vehicle was driving northbound and the driver did not see the pedestrian in the roadway and struck him.

We’re told the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with officers.
Police stated there is no sign of intoxication with the driver.
Following completion of the investigation, the District Attorney’s Office will be contacted to be referred to a grand jury.
