Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania post-credits scenes explained
Before we start, consider this your spoiler warning for the end of Ant-Man 3.
The first post-credits scene takes place in a world that appears to be floating through space. There, we see three variants of Kang – they are all played by Jonathan Majors but have different costumes and technology. This group makes up what is called the Council of Kangs.
It turns out that this was the group who exiled Kang the Conqueror to the Quantum Realm in the first place.
They discuss how he failed to win against the heroes, and that now they must act. They call in thousands of Kang variants from different realties, all with the aim of eliminating further threats now that the world is beginning to discover all the alternant timelines.

The three Kangs in question reference characters in the comics, including the Pharaoh Rama-Tut and Immortus.
This scene is undoubtedly the most important one for setting up the future conflict of Kang and shows just how big this new threat is for our future heroes. We already know that the next Avengers film will be called Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, so this scene will likely be heavy set-up for that story.
The second post-credits scene also features another variant of Kang. He is called Victor Timely, and is performing on a stage explaining how important time is in everyone’s lives, and how it can be shaped.
Watching on from the audience is none other than the God of Mischief, Loki. He’s sitting with his TVA pal Mobius, who seems dubious about whether this is a “terrifying figure”, but Loki simply replies with “he is”.
This of course ties into the season finale of the Disney+ series Loki, in which he came face-to-face with the first Kang variant ever shown in the MCU, He Who Remains.

When Loki’s female variant Sylvie messed with the multiverse timeline by killing He Who Remains, she helped unleash more Kangs into the world. There’s no doubt that season 2 will feature Loki trying to hunt down Kang and put a stop to any conquering plans.
But how do Loki and Mobius know each other again? In the season finale, Loki’s timeline was completely changed – Kang was a ruthless leader, and the TVA agent claimed he’d never met Loki before when the two reunited. We’ll find out more when the next instalment hits Disney+ later this year.
