The Realme executive Xu Qi Chase has asserted that the upcoming GT5 Pro will make a groundbreaking leap in terms of smartphone technology that will keep it ahead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 pack on its release. Then again, its apparent unique selling point may not be as unprecedented as the brand seems to think.
Based on the OEM’s new tag-line (“dual-engine flagship“), it seems that the GT5 Pro’s ultra-bright display will have an independent chip to help its 8 Gen 3 platform along…much like the new iQOO 12 series. Nevertheless, its upcoming Realme rival might have the edge with a larger battery that might have 240W charging after all.
It is thought to be housed in a chassis most like that of the Huawei Mate 50 Pro – as the Weibo user Xiaoyu Review notes in purporting to showcase that design in a new hands-on leak. The “GT5 Pro” rear panel shown in the new image is finished in an off-white shade that shows its round camera hump off in stark contrast.
As with recent Redmi K70 Pro leaks, it contains 4 lens cut-outs in equally stark relief, despite rumors of triple rear cameras. These new tips should be confirmed or denied soon, however, as Realme has finally hinted at a November 2023 launch for the GT5 Pro.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
