A lawyer and his driver were robbed of their mobile phones by two men on motorcycles in Chennai. The lawyer had come to the city to take an exam and had instructed his driver to pick him up. The robbers first targeted the driver, snatching his phone, and then proceeded to snatch the lawyer’s phone before escaping. One of the robbers was later caught by the police during a vehicle check.

Mobile phone snatcher arrested in Chennai
A mobile phone snatcher was caught by police during a vehicle check in Chennai. The suspect’s accomplice managed to escape. The snatcher, identified as S Santhosh Kumar, confessed to snatching mobile phones from two other individuals before stealing from K Balaji. Police recovered two mobile phones and a motorcycle from Kumar, but Balaji’s phone was still missing. Santhosh Kumar was arrested and a search for his accomplice, B Stephen, was launched.
